Early years workshop 2

After making our collaged cows, we moved on to using salt dough with the idea of making models of houses and buildings in the village. You can see the inspiration here:

Here is the mammoth amount of salt dough I made in preparation... we hardly used any of it... still sitting in the fridge need to find a use for it (quickly)

Early years workshop 1

The first workshop of the project was with the Early Years pupils at the school. As we are looking at life around us and life in the village we decided to use 'Cows' for our theme. The children are familiar with visiting the local farm and seeing the cows on a daily basis, so we thought it would be a good place to start.
We decided to make collaged sun catchers that can stick to the window and conveniently look like the cows are in the field in the distance (well almost!).


Here they all are drying... next my job is to cut them all out ready to take back to school and to have some for display at the village fair. I'll try and remember to post some pics when they are done.
